PROP: Hat Box

Whilst hat boxes were widely used for travel and storage, particularly during a time when hats were a common fashion element, this item served a different purpose in our store. For over a decade it has featured in window displays, and in peak seasons it would contain bulky items, such as advent calendars.

This mid-century classsic is made fibre or cardboard, with visible wear and tear consistent with its age. Featuring a sturdy metal handle, along with a central lock and side clasps all in working order. The textured, golden-yellow lining provides a protective and decorative interior, and the leather strap keeps the lid open. With so many ways to utilise this fine beauty; how will you repurpose the Hat Box?
